July and August 2012 - Festival of Pyrotechnic Art
From the Esterel mountains to the Pointe Croisette, the bay of Cannes forms a jewel case for great events. Cannes wanted to organize for its citizens, as well as for tourists, an international valued event in the very heart of the summer season, where it could take advantage of both : its magnificent natural scenery and its prestige. These shows, given from a 300 meters seafront, in the splendid bay of Cannes, gave a surprising dimension to it. The reflection of the fireworks on the water and the acoustic relief, transported the public into a fairy tale world of successive frames. Around 200 000 persons follow the shows on every evening.

23 - 28 July 2012 - Nuits du Suquet
Founded by the world-famous pianist Gabriel Tacchino, the Nuits du Suquet is celebrating its 31th anniversary. The summer concerts have become the essential meeting place for music lovers, acknowledged as one of the major musical events of the season in Cannes.

July and August 2012 - Electronic Beaches
On the Palais des Festivals beach in July and August, The Plages Electroniques festival is organising five partying nights. The concept offers an original format: feet in the sands the evening begins on the beach at 6.30pm to pursue the electronic music discovery until 12.30am! On the programme: techno, electro, drum’n’bass, electro groove, minimal and some of the best worldwide DJs.

8 - 11 August 2012 - Festival Pantiero
An ‘Electro’ Festival
Created in 2002, Cannes has developed a new Festival highlighting the international electronic scene. The City of Cannes set a new challenge by organizing this daring event oriented towards new musical trends.
The Festival received over 2,500 spectators each night on the Riviera terrace at the Palais des Festivals. Although the Festival puts the spotlight on electro, it also delves into many other music varieties: afrobeat, afro-house, electro-dub, house, electro-pop, hip-hop, reggae, electro-jazz...
